Today on Day 5, the last day of World Immunisation Week, we are focusing on seasonal vaccines for flu and COVID-19. These diseases are more common at certain times of the year and can be more serious for some people. The vaccines help lower the risk of becoming seriously unwell or needing hospital treatment – especially for:
- Older Adults
- Pregnant women
- People with long-term health conditions
- Young children
- Health and social care workers
Flu and COVID-19 viruses change, which is why it is important to have regular vaccines to protect against the current viruses.
- Flu vaccine (autumn)
- COVID-19 boosters (autumn and spring)
We’re currently promoting the COVID-19 spring booster, which is available until June at your GP practice, pharmacy, or one of the local pop-up clinics.
Check out the posters below for all the details and stay protected this season!
